Crisis Support
Poiesis Psychiatry is not a crisis service and cannot not provide inpatient treatment. In an emergency, this is how you can access support:
Emergencies
If there is an immediate risk to your safety, please attend your local emergency department or contact 000.
For Urgent Support
For urgent mental health support, it is best to see your regular general practitioner or a clinician who knows you already. They will assist you with a referral.
Alternatively, you may contact Mental Health Triage yourself; this is a 24/7 telephone service. Mental Health Triage can accept a self-referral for urgent assessment. You can find the correct number to call for your catchment area using the Victorian area mental health website.
If you live near Melbourne, and are aged between 18-65, the Mental Health Triage number for your catchment area can also be found below.
